OLW 2015

Achieve:  verb

To get or reach (something) by working hard

To become successful: to reach a goal

I am totally behind in my posts as I came down with a nasty cold/flu like symptoms, swollen glands, horrendous sore throat on Tuesday, December 30.  I celebrated the New Year with cough drops and Kleenex.  I’m feeling much better now and ready to roll!

I thought my word this year would be INTENTIONAL.  I tried it on, wore it for a few weeks, really tried to work with it. But, it does not feel right.  So after much thought and a very detailed assessment of where I am now, and where I want to be, the word that fit is ACHIEVE.

As with last year, I am going to begin each month with a Goal List for that month (nothing overwhelming, but a list of a few things that I would like to accomplish or change during that particular month).

I will also continue making a To Do List at the beginning of each month.  I found last year, that even if I didn’t accomplish every goal or to do, I stayed focused, I was aware of what needed changed or done and for the most part, even if it took more than a month, I eventually did it.  Because of this, the beds get made every day, the kitchen is cleaned every night and freezer dinners are prepared once a month and stacked in the freezer.  Our days are running more smoothly with the few routines we effectuated and maintained, though there is always room for improvement.

This year, we will intentionally save money each month.  We will use coupons and look for deals and put the money saved in a separate account.

This year, we will travel more.  Not to far away places (with the exception of a vacation beginning in Georgia and ending in Florida), but most weekend getaways.

So, those are my thoughts, achieve is my word and I’m ready to begin.

Peace and giving,
